Northern Agriculture and Climate Change Forum

UNBC (Prince George, BC)
26th October 2018

The focus of the UNBC Agriculture and Climate Change Research Forum was to share information about innovative research, programs and initiatives that will benefit northern agriculture producers through collaborative, applied research. More than 40 people attending the forum throughout the day, and more than 30 people attended the evening reception at Northern Lights Estate Winery. The participants included UNBC faculty and students, primary producers and industry stakeholders, representatives from municipal, regional and provincial government, and funding agency representatives.

Throughout the day, various opportunities were shared, and information was requested to be sent out to the participants. Presentations from the Forum can be made available upon request.

A thank-you to the Pacific Institute for Climate Solutions for organizing and sponsoring the event, to the BC Agricultural Climate Adaptation Research Network for supporting researchers to attend and present their work at the Forum, and to UNBC’s Agriculture Network Pilot Project for support in organizing the event and support in presenter travel costs.
